We've got groups coming in from all over the country to perform for you throughout the weekend. We kick things off with a collection of some of the best scholastic talent assembled all in one place to show of their talent and love of a cappella.
Brown University Jabberwocks
Founded in 1949, the Brown University Jabberwocks' long-standing tradition of excellence and cutting-edge a cappella remains strong after more than 60 years. They've recorded numerous albums, traveled the world, won awards, performed, competed, and now they're bringing it home to Providence with AMPLIFY to show the a cappella community that more than half a century later, they are still one of the best collegiate groups in the country.
18 Wheelers
This group of exceptional kids from the Wheeler School broke onto the a cappella scene like a hurricane in 2008, pushing the envelope of high school a cappella and delivering some of the most impressive music from a high school group that the community has ever heard. Their talent is years beyond their age and experience and rivals that of many, if not most, collegiate groups. Under the guidance of Director, Kristin Sprague, and beloved in Providence and throughout the community they constantly push themselves to grow and excel.
