About Us

So why ARE we doing this?  What's it all about?

There are many great festivals and organizations who do an incredible job of promoting the a cappella at the local and national level.  Indeed, because of their efforts a cappella has broken into the mainstream in a way many of us never would have imagined.  We, not only want to do our part to aid in this mission by putting on a great event, but hope to compliment those efforts through some new and different programs and initiatives.

Our overarching mission is to use this festival and other initiatives as a means to raise and inject resources back into the a cappella community.

Our short term goal is to establish a fund that we hope will one day ensure that all a cappella music is fully licensed and legal.  These expenses can be significant and we know that a cappella groups are always in need of additional sources of funding.  The A Cappella Licensing Fund will supply grant based funding to the groups who need it most to help them with this very important phase of the album creation process.

Looking to the future, The AMPLIFY A Cappella Scholarship will award merit based scholarships to rising college seniors who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and contributions to their own groups, their campus a cappella community and the national/international a cappella community.
